Who Are We? 

ALSTNTEC, LLC is a certified SBA economically disadvantaged woman-owned business and certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise consulting company that provides small business training, development, and mentoring services to first-time owners, home-based businesses, and mature business owners. We also provide small business promotion, marketing services, and networking opportunities.

We have updated our Terms and Conditions of Site Use and Privacy policies to reflect the most up-to-date information and to protect your privacy. As new data protection laws have taken place, our new policy will take effect on January 18, 2021. Information Collection and Use

This site logs the IP addresses and types of browsers used by its guests. This information is used to monitor and make improvements to the site. This site does not secretly collect any personally identifiable information (PII). Users may choose to become a registered user, in which case they may choose to reveal information about themselves, such as their email address and other information. This information will never be shared or sold beyond what is described below. Users may remove themselves and their information from the website’s database by contacting us.  Members who register should be 18 years or older. If any member is under the age of 18, parental permission is required. This website and the advertisers on this website conform to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Personally Identified Information (PII).

We value your privacy. Definition of Confidential Personal and Business Information shall include all information that identifies an individual or owners of their respective organization, entity, or small business, which includes an individual photograph, social security number, driver license number, name, address, telephone number, date of birth, e-mail address, records of any financial or credit institution, including any records of deposits, withdrawals, and balances of any purchases respective account numbers, and any personal identification number or password that would permit access to an individual’s financial accounts, and any other personally identifiable information (PII) not lawfully accessible from publicly available information from this site. This also includes the protection of PII from the Disclosing Party’s siblings, parents, heirs, successors, affiliates, partners, clients, associates, and extended relations or partnerships that uses this site to purchase services and may partake in our learning sessions. This Confidentiality policy also extends to marketing practices that include any business's likeness, branding, social media marketing, use of name, logo, or markings; and any employees, managers, executives, business affiliates, and partners. Other related business information pertaining to The Parties’ programs and services, such as workshops, seminars, video conferences, in-person training sessions, and mentoring/consultation services; and also includes the disclosure of PII information of students, clients, customers, or business affiliates, unless publicly disclosed, is also considered confidential. The Parties shall assume that all materials and known business information whether in written form or orally are considered "Confidential".

 

Exclusions from Confidential Personal and Business Information 

 

The Parties' obligations under this Privacy Policy do not extend to information that is: (a) publicly known at the time of disclosure or subsequently becomes publicly known through no fault of the Member or Company (b) discovered or created by before the disclosure; (c) learned through legitimate means, or (d) is disclosed with prior written approval.

Media

When creating an account, you are allowed to upload media files such as images to your profile page. Most uploaded images are usually publicly accessible unless the profile is set to private. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. All photos should be professional and appropriate for your member profile. Inappropriate photos will be removed.

Video Sessions: For students who attend live training sessions, your likeness, voice, and appearance will be shown in our private member's area. Students hereby give the Company to use their voice and likeness during the recording on video conference and also give the Company permission to use their likeness, photos, or business information to place on the website or used for promotional purposes to encourage future students to join the course. If you wish to opt-out of video and photo sessions, please send a written request to us.

Contact forms

By default, this website uses a contact form to collect subscription information for our members. Member data is captured via MailChimp or via WIX to include in our newsletter or via WooCommerce, PayPal when making a purchase. All data is retained for up to 5 years. Information we collect is used for marketing ALSTNTEC related products and services and is not shared with 3rd parties, business affiliates, and partners.

Cookies

Our website may place cookies on your system. A cookie is a small piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive. This site uses cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain state between pages. The user may remove these cookies at any time by logging out of the website. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us. You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies. Declining cookies will prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.

Log Files

We collect IP addresses and browser types to analyze trends and administer the site. We do not do reverse DNS lookups, so IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Analytics

Alstntec.com uses Google Analytics to monitor the website and make improvements. Google collects information such as your IP number and browser. Google also infers information such as gender and age and aggregates this information in a way that enables us to improve our service. You may opt-out of Google’s tracking here and here. Alstntec, LLC does not facilitate the merging of personally identifiable information with non-personally identifiable information collected by Google.

Sharing

Normally, ALSTNTEC does not engage in share aggregated information with our partners unless they have participated in one of our events, at which time their business and contact information may be made public to those who visit the site. This is not linked to any personally identifiable information.

We will share personally identifiable information only when requested by a legal authority. ALSTNTEC is not responsible for the privacy policies or actions of any third-party application to which you have given access to your account.

This web site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. Registration Information for Events, Seminars, and Courses

For certain events, seminars, or courses our site requests information (e.g. your name, email address, telephone number including demographic information such as your address, city, state, zip code, ethnicity, and age level) from users who want to participate in an event or attend a seminar.  For selected courses, we may also ask to verify personally identifiable information (PII) that is used the sole purpose of gathering statistical information. We use this information to us marketing to target groups for certain types of events, seminars, and courses. Submitting your information through this website for these events and seminars is completely voluntary and the user, therefore, has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site. We are not responsible for the business practices of our affiliate sponsors.

SBSC or Roundtable Presenter

When participating in the Small Business Strategy Course or Roundtable Discussions as a Presenter, you agreed via a signed contract by you and prior to participating to allow your likeness, business name, company information, personal biographical information along with your products, services, and publications to be displayed on our website. The website is marketed and promoted globally either through social media marketing, email distribution, or word of mouth, and anyone can view your information. You also agreed to allow members to view, listen, or playback your recorded presentation for the purpose of learning more about you, your profession, and business services. Any information shared in our courses is of your own free will and has been discussed and approved with the organizer prior to broadcasting.  Sharing your information in the learning sessions does not guarantee clients and you are not compensated for participating in the event unless expressively written or contracted to so do. For participation as a Contributor only, you agreed through submission of your information via email to display your likeness, articles, advertisements, email address, website, and other related contact information in the publication. ALSTNTEC is not responsible for any typos, omissions, errors in your bio, article, or ad content.

Security

This website takes precautions to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line. While we use best practices to protect your data, we cannot guarantee that your data is completely secure. We recommend that you do not store confidential information on our servers and that you make regular backups of your data using our backup tools. Data Retention

Data that is collected via our website and applications form used for our platform are held for five (5) years, and stored in an electronic format on our servers. These servers are offline which offers the best security for our customers.

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page, and notify our users, so that our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances. What we collect and store

While you visit our site, we’ll track:
