About the event
Turn Your Business Idea Into a Clear Plan for Action
The ALSTNTEC 5-Week Business Plan Development Program is a focused, hands-on program designed to help aspiring and early-stage business owners turn their business ideas into a structured, practical business plan.
Over five weeks, participants will work through the core components of the ALSTNTEC Business Plan Model, developing their plan step-by-step rather than simply learning about business planning. The program guides participants through defining their business concept and goals, understanding their target market and competition, developing their marketing and sales strategy, and establishing the operational and strategic foundation needed to move forward.
Participants will also be introduced to the financial information needed to understand the cost of starting a business. This includes developing a startup budget and cash flow statement to help estimate startup expenses, anticipated cash needs, and the resources required to launch. The program is designed to help participants understand the financial information they need to plan their business, while recognizing that ongoing accounting, tax preparation, and financial management should be handled with the appropriate accounting or financial professional.
Key Outcome
By the end of five weeks, participants will have developed a working business plan that provides a clear roadmap for launching and moving their business forward.
Learning Objectives
By completing the program, participants will be able to:
Define their business foundation including their business concept, mission, vision, goals, products, and/or services.
Identify and evaluate their target market through market and industry research.
Assess their competition and identify opportunities to establish a competitive position.
Develop a marketing and sales strategy that addresses their target customers, value proposition, pricing, promotion, distribution, and customer acquisition.
Establish their business strategy and implementation priorities, including measurable goals and the actions needed to move the business forward.
Identify the operational and management considerations necessary to support the business.
Develop a startup budget and cash flow statement to estimate the financial resources and startup costs needed to launch.
Bring the major components together into a cohesive business plan that can serve as a working roadmap for the business.
